Stanta are very happy to wrap up a year like no other with another project secured for 2022 having been awarded the Aldgate Place SFS package with one of our long term clients EAG Facades following a long tender process on this one.
Despite all the difficulties posed by the pandemic and material costs the future in London Construction is looking very healthy indeed.
Main Contractor McLaren Construction have been awarded the project after British Lands decided to press on with its first build-to-rent-led scheme on the City fringe, more than three years after the job was put on hold.
McLaren have commenced works on the second phase and will include 159 build-to-rent apartments, 19,000 sq ft of office space and 8,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space.
The 136,000 sq ft residential led, mixed‐use scheme located on London’s City fringe, will be the 27th project delivered by McLaren on behalf of British Land during a 13‐year partnership of projects that has included retail parks, industrial, offices, shopping centres and leisure developments.
This is the 2nd project Stanta will deliver for EAG and McLaren following the successful delivery of SFS envelope works at the 160 Aldersgate development back in 2016.
