Stanta are delighted to have secured a new school project with long time key client Wates with the award of the Kempston SEN school in Bedford. This is our second SEN school in 12 months having delivered the Summerdown School in Eastbourne last year for Morgan Sindall.
The school will serve children and young people throughout Bedford Borough, providing vital education for a wide range of children aged 2-19 with special needs, including those with disabilities, on the autistic spectrum, and experiencing learning difficulties.
The new school will provide capacity for 200 students and will be one of the largest SEN facilities in the country, providing specialist care and enabling families in the local area to have their children educated closer to home.
It will also mean that some children who currently have to travel outside the area for specialist education will now be able to receive education locally.
Stanta scope on the project includes Design, Supply & Installation of all 250mm SFS walls and associated products including boards, EPDMs, Membranes and the external Insulated Render Facade.
