Stanta secure new Childrens hospital development

Stanta are happy to have recently secured the SFS substrate package to the new Pear Maudsley children & young persons hospital in Denmark Hill, London with long time client Skontoplan facades.

This is our second Hospital project in 2021 with the team of Skontoplan and Sir Robert McAlpine following the successful delivery of the Springfield Hospital development in Tooting, South London earlier this year.

It is also our second project award from Skontoplan in recent month with the award of the SFS to the mostly Modular Wood Wharf B2 building with Canary Wharf contractors.

The Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People will bring together, under one roof, the world’s leading experts in clinical care and research from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN).

Based in Kings College London, at the Maudsley Hospital in Denmark Hill, the building will house the Institute for Children and Young People’s Mental Health and provide space for high quality mental health care. It will be designed to enable clinicians and scientists to collaborate, share ideas and identify treatments that make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

The Pears Maudsley Centre will also provide a new home for the outstanding Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School which provides highly personalised education for young people whilst they are inpatients, making sure that they can keep up with their studies at this challenging time in their lives.

Stanta scope includes 150mm SFS, Y-Wall boarding and Obex 0500FR EPDM. Work begins onsite in the new year. For more information please visit our project page.
