In-House Design Process

In-House Design Process

Stanta have a large in-house design team who work closely with our clients during the design process to produce framing drawings and technical details in CAD and BIM/Revit formats.

Stanta differ from other contractors in that we’re not relying on outside support for our design resource, and appoint our own design manager to each project who attends early meetings and co-ordinates the flow of design information.

All engineering and framing drawings are prepared and issued to design programs agreed during early consultation. This provides greater control and assurance to our clients of the commitment to the critical design lead in to ensure continuity of work once the site installation commences.

BIM

BIM

In 2015 Stanta made the change to using Revit as our main framing software. This has allowed us to work within our clients BIM standards using the same IFC files as the Architect and Engineer to provide full ‘as built’ models of our frames for use afterwards in the overall building model.

Stanta framing profiles can now also be downloaded for direct incorporation into your project BIM file. The individual 3D sections are available for download as Industry Foundation Classes (.ifc files) so that they can be readily imported into your BIM model, regardless of the modelling software being used. The .ifc files all contain the necessary data to assist with the production of the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) file required by Clients at the end of a project.

Installation by Stanta

Installation by Stanta

One of the key differences between Stanta and most other Light Gauge steel systems is the fact that we install the track and stud using our own installation teams. Stanta have a dedicated team of installers & project managers that have years of experience in the installation of light gauge steel stud envelope walls. This gives our clients the benefit of a 1-stop shop regarding orders, scheduling, deliveries and overall responsibility.

Additional scope items include external boards, insulations, Tapes and EPDMs and other such associated items to provide an early weather tight envelope substrate.
