Stanta awarded SFS package to new Mary Ward Centre

Stanta have recently been appointed by Norman & Underwood to deliver the SFS infill envelope to the new Mary Ward development in East London. This is our first project with Norman & Underwood and we look forward to working with them on this excellent part renovation, part new build development constructed by Curo Construction.

Mary Ward Centre is an adult education charity, providing a new multi-functioning performing arts theatre, café, community spaces and offices in East London.

The Mayor of London’s Skills for Londoners Capital Fund has awarded £5.6m to the Mary Ward Settlement Group to help move its specialist adult educational centre from Camden to Stratford, East London.

The move is part of the Settlement’s plans to expand its Pan-London impact by a third, increasing its reach from 9,000 to 12,500 people, drawn from every London borough.

The project involves the redevelopment of the site to reuse part of the three and four-storey frame and foundations, with only minimal strengthening works required for the addition of two storeys on top of the existing building.

Stanta scope on the project includes all SFS framing, Boards, EPDMs and Insulations to form the substrate envelope for our client Norman & Underwood to install the facade and Windows to.

Work begins onsite late 2021. For more info please visit our projects page.
