Stanta are delighted to have been awarded the SFS infill package at the University of Essex with Bouygues Construction. This is the second large University development secured with Bouygues following the success of the 5 block University Student Accomodation development on Lewes Road in Brighton back in 2020.
The project involves five new buildings including a new hub building to include reception, post room, administrative area and student services centre along with laundrettes and staff welfare facilities.
Bouygues UK and Uliving, student accommodation brand of Linkcity UK in consortium with Equitix are tasked to deliver 1,262 student bedrooms for the University of Essex.
The project known as ‘The Pastures’ is located on the Colchester campus and is the third phase of student accommodation that Uliving will be delivering for the University of Essex, following the handover of Phase 1 (648 new build bedrooms and stock transfer of 772 bedrooms) and Phase 2 (643 bedrooms) built by Bouygues UK in 2013 and 2018 respectively.
Stanta scope includes all Metsec SFS studwork, RCM Y-Wall external board, Obex EPDMs and Rockwool insulations among others. Work begins onsite in late Q1 2022. For more information please visit our projects page.
