Stanta back in Wood Wharf for next phase.

Stanta back in Wood Wharf for next phase.

Stanta look forward to getting back to one of the best managed sites we have seen to date at the Wood Wharf development in Canary Wharf.

Blocks G1 and G5 were awarded to building envelope specialists Alumet by client Canary Wharf group earlier this year and we are glad to confirm the SFS pacakge has been placed with Stanta to get the ball rolling in design and onsite over the coming months.

This follows on from 2 other blocks Stanta have worked on at Wood Wharf over the last 12 months for contractors Prater and Skonto and demonstrates the benefits of getting a specialist SFS contractor in to manage the design, co-ordination and installation of this package as the 1st critical path item onsite for any envelope contractor.

The Wood Wharf development is a 23 acres site in Canary Wharf, London which is currently under development to deliver up to 3,600 new homes, 2.8m sq ft of office space, 490,000 sq ft of retail space and over 8 acres of public spaces, squares and parks. There will also be a GP surgery and a two-form primary school for 420 children.

The current phase of works to deliver the HTA designed Plots G1 and G5 form a large part of the main central zone, composed of two major buildings and three pavilions which reflect the area’s naval past. The design mirrors the once-lost warehouse architecture which sat on the site, reinstating an important part of the Wharf’s heritage and character.

The buildings will provide a vibrant mix of retail, restaurants and 297 fully serviced apartments. These elements are brought together through a unique collaboration between Canary Wharf Group, Edyn and Vertus.

Stanta design is well underway and installations are expected to commence in late 2022. For more info and updates please visit our projects page.
